Terms & Conditions - Auto Glass

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all auto glass quotes, orders, and services provided by Star Glass, Inc. (“Star Glass,” “we,” “us”). By accepting a quote, scheduling service, or authorizing work, you (“Customer”) agree to these Terms in full.

1. Quote Validity

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise noted.

Pricing is subject to change based on vehicle specifications, options, or corrections to previously provided information.

Quotes are based on the information available at the time and may be adjusted if discrepancies are discovered prior to or during service.

2. Payment & Insurance

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If insurance is involved, Customer remains ultimately responsible for all charges not paid by the insurance company, including deductibles, denied claims, or coverage limitations.

Star Glass is not responsible for delays in payment or approval by insurance providers.

A 3% processing fee applies to all card payments. Returned checks are subject to a $35.00 fee.

Unpaid balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowed by Louisiana law. Customer agrees to pay all reasonable collection costs, including attorney’s fees.

3. Scheduling & Mobile Service

Appointments are scheduled based on availability and are subject to change due to weather, safety conditions, or prior job delays.

Mobile service requires a safe and accessible work area. Star Glass reserves the right to reschedule if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

If a confirmed appointment is missed or cancelled without reasonable notice, a trip charge may apply.

4. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage

Customer acknowledges that vehicles may have pre-existing damage, including but not limited to:

– Scratches, rust, or corrosion

– Prior improper installations

– Damaged moldings, clips, or trim

– Electrical or system issues

Star Glass is not responsible for identifying or repairing pre-existing conditions. Any such conditions discovered during service may require additional work at Customer’s expense.

5. Glass Removal & Breakage Risk

Auto glass removal involves inherent risks.

For older vehicles or vehicles with prior installations, additional breakage or damage to surrounding components may occur despite reasonable care.

Star Glass is not responsible for breakage of existing glass or related components during removal when such risks are unavoidable.

6. ADAS Calibration

Certain vehicles require Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration following windshield replacement.

Customer acknowledges:

– Calibration may be required for proper system function

– Additional charges may apply for calibration services

– Environmental conditions (lighting, weather, space) may affect calibration

If Customer declines recommended calibration, Star Glass is not responsible for system performance, safety issues, or related liability.

7. Installation & Environmental Limitations

All installations are performed in accordance with industry standards.

Environmental factors such as weather, temperature, and vehicle condition may affect installation and curing times.

Customer agrees to follow all post-installation instructions, including safe drive-away times.

8. Water Leaks & Wind Noise

Star Glass warrants workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation.

Claims for leaks or wind noise must be reported promptly.

Star Glass is not responsible for issues caused by pre-existing conditions, structural defects, or unrelated vehicle components.

9. Warranty & Liability

Star Glass warrants labor for one (1) year. Manufacturer warranties apply to glass products where applicable.

Star Glass is not responsible for:

– Damage caused by others after installation

– Pre-existing vehicle issues

– Electronic system failures unrelated to installation

– Any special, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Final Sales

All auto glass sales are final. No returns or refunds will be issued once materials are ordered or installation is completed.

11. Changes to These Terms

Star Glass reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. No modifications by Customer are valid unless expressly agreed to in writing by Star Glass.

Acceptance

By approving a quote, scheduling service, or allowing work to proceed, Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
