Custom Glass Table Tops & Shelves in New Orleans

Glass table tops and shelves are among the most practical custom glass products we offer — and among the most underestimated. A glass top protects a wood or decorative table from daily wear while letting the table’s design show through. Glass shelves float visually on a wall without the visual weight of wood. And in both cases, the glass is cut to your exact dimensions — not a close approximation from a stock size that forces you to compromise.

Glass Table Tops

We cut glass table tops for dining tables, coffee tables, accent tables, desk surfaces, and patio furniture. The process is simple: you give us your dimensions (or bring in a template for unusual shapes), choose your glass thickness and edge finish, and we fabricate the piece.

For dining tables, we typically recommend 3/8″ or 1/2″ tempered glass for durability and safety. For smaller accent or coffee tables, 1/4″ is usually sufficient. Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than standard glass and shatters into small, blunt pieces rather than large, sharp shards — the right choice for any table in a home with children or in a commercial setting.

Edge finish options include polished (smooth and clear), beveled (a decorative, angled border), and flat polished. Beveled edges are particularly popular on dining tables where the edge is prominent.

We can also cut glass to non-rectangular shapes — ovals, rounded corners, hexagons, and other configurations. If you have an irregular table, bring us a cardboard template, and we’ll cut to match.

Glass Shelves

Glass shelves work beautifully in bathrooms, living rooms, home bars, kitchens, and retail display cases. They’re lighter-looking than wood shelves, easy to clean, and allow light to pass through — which matters when you don’t want a shelf to interrupt the visual flow of a wall or obstruct a window.

Floating glass shelves are typically mounted with standoff hardware or through-drilled brackets. We cut the glass to your specified width and depth with polished edges for a clean finished look.

If you’re drilling the glass for standoff hardware, specify the hole size and placement when you order — holes must be drilled before the glass is tempered.

If you have a table, display case, or shelving unit with broken glass that needs to be replaced, bring us the dimensions or the piece itself and we can fabricate a replacement. This is one of our most common requests and typically has a fast turnaround.
