Marine Glass
Star Glass, Inc. handles marine glass replacement for boats and small commercial vessels in the Greater New Orleans area on a case-by-case basis. If you’ve got a broken windshield, side window, or porthole on your vessel, contact us with the details and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can help with.
How marine glass works at Star Glass
Marine glass is a specialty service for us, not our primary line of business. That means we’re honest with you up front about what we can and can’t do, so you don’t waste time waiting on a quote that won’t come through.
What we can typically help with: Boat windshield replacement, side and cabin window glass, sliding window glass, mirrors, and small porthole glass on vessels that can come to our Gretna shop or that are docked at marinas and slips within our service area.
What we usually can’t do: Full marine glass fabrication, custom hatch or porthole frame work, on-the-water service, vessels in haul-out yards outside our service area, or large commercial fleet contracts. If your project is outside our scope, we’ll tell you and try to point you in the right direction.
How we approach a marine glass job
Text or email us a photo of the damage along with the make and model of your vessel. We’ll review it, tell you whether we can help, and give you an estimate based on the glass type, size, and where the vessel will be when we work on it. Most marine jobs that fit our scope can be measured and replaced within a couple of weeks of the initial quote.
Vessels we typically work on
Marine work tends to come to us from owners of:
- Recreational fishing boats
- Center consoles & bay boats
- Cabin cruisers
- Small commercial vessels
- Houseboats
